Did you know how much water your roof collects per year? I saw this ingenious program someone created a app to calculate how much rain water is runs off your roof per year based on google maps and calculating your local rainfall. Find your house and you'll be surprised! How about gather some off that run off for your garden, washing things outdoors. I remember as a child my grandmother used to have a huge rain barrel in the backyard that she used to collect rain an water her garden. Check out his link it's well worth your time.
